  • ANXIETY

As we move through the ever-quickening pace of the modern world, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed and anxious. I approach anxiety as an underlying imbalance and help clients understand how they are able to get unmet physical and emotional needs tended to. I help clients restore a healthy relationship with feelings of anxiety and recognize its role in survival.

  • RELATIONSHIP ISSUES

Social relationships are an important cornerstone of health, so when issues occur, they put significant strain on emotional well-being. I teach clients to recognize and express their needs, while teaching new tools for effective communication. Clients develop an understanding of how past relationships inform the present and learn to accept accountability for their roles.

  • DEPRESSION

There are many different situations which may cause a person to experience depression. No matter what the cause, I help clients understand what is beneath the symptoms and collaborate to form a healing plan. I encourage clients to go inward while remaining mindful of their outward context to restore a sense of balance, vitality and happiness, both physically and mentally.

  • UNHEALTHY HABITS/ADDICTIONS

There are many unhealthy habits we develop as we move through life to help us cope with unwelcome situations or feelings. Often, these habits are helpful to distract us for a short duration but become unhelpful in time. I help clients to recognize what situations contributed to the development of the unhealthy habits and teach healthy ways to self-soothe in times of stress.

  • SELF-ESTEEM

Many of us struggle to feel confident in our own skin and to recognize what gifts we bring to the world. Comparing ourselves to others, especially in the age of social media, can leave us feeling inadequate, unattractive and of questionable worth. I help clients develop a deeper understanding of their unique talents and help them build a healthy foundation for self-esteem.

  • WOMEN’S ISSUES

There are many struggles that a woman may face throughout her lifetime, including, but not limited to, body images issues, sexual assault, boundary violations and harassment. I help clients to reclaim their strength and confidence, while teaching communication tools to help women move through the world with more confidence and respect for their womanhood.

  • ONLINE COUNSELLING

Modern counselling has come a long way from its humble Freudian beginnings. A stable internet connection and a phone or computer is all clients need for a session from the comfort of their homes. Clients don’t need to be inconvenienced by travel to access the mental health help they need and deserve. Booking a virtual session has never been easier!

  • HUMAN CONNECTION

Online sessions offer clients the opportunity to deeply connect to another human from the comfort of their homes. The importance of human connection cannot be understated, especially in the age of digital communication. Clients with NewView have the opportunity to be understood as a person beyond their symptoms and to be listened to by an empathetic professional.

  • AFFORDABLE RATES

Online sessions are on a sliding scale, so please contact for more information. An online delivery allows NewView to provide effective counselling without costing clients an arm and a leg. I believe everyone should have the opportunity to receive the help they deserve, in an accessible and affordable way.

  • SUPPORT FROM ANYWHERE

Don’t let your physical location determine your access to care. Our online sessions are available anywhere in Ontario, whether you are at home, visiting friends or on vacation. All that is required is a stable internet connection and a screen if opting for a video call, or a strong cellular connection if participating in a phone session. There are fewer obstacles than ever!

  • INDIVIDUALIZED TREATMENT

Each client comes with a unique set of circumstances, skills and personality traits. I believe that there is no “one size fits all” approach and that a client’s counselling should be as unique as they are. Clients are encouraged to participate in forming their treatment plan and communicate when they feel something is or is not suitable for them.

  • A BETTER QUALITY OF LIFE

Living a healthy and happy life should be within reach for everyone. I help clients to develop new skills for coping with stress, staying grounded and realizing their potential. In as little as an hour per week, clients can learn the skills they need to start on the pathway to a better quality of life. Clients feel encouraged to make the most of the life they have been given!
